Illustration and design for vinyl record cover
This is my study project, where I made the cover of my favorite song «Phoenix» by swedish singer Molly Sanden. It is an incredibly beautiful and at the same time strong and dynamic song, in which the singer tells how she fights with her enemies, she is even ready to die to be reborn again, like a phoenix.
I decided to draw a phoenix as a symbol of energy and power. I used texture brushes because I wanted to try a new style of drawing. The dark background is the most contrasting for the fiery colors of the phoenix, and also I added the radiance of the stars, based on the line from the song: «Now I need the dark so I can see the stars shine».
